Introducing the Gucci 1955 Horsebit Bucket Bag

In short, the Horsebit is back and it seems it’s here to stay, with creative director Alessandro Michele continuing to put a focus on this motif. The Horsebit is arguably one of Gucci’s most iconic symbols, celebrating the House’s link to the equestrian world. When paired with Michele’s new, modern designs, the result is bags that are both classic and modern at the same time. For Cruise 2020, the Horsebit appears on a variety of shapes, and the newest addition just hit Meet the Gucci 1955 Horsebit Bucket Bag.

The Bucket Bag is an easy to wear silhouette with a structured bottom that is made of a slightly textured leather, while the top is made of a soft leather with a smooth finish. The classic gold Horsebit hardware combined with the modern shape and contemporary mix of leathers makes for a unique bag that stands out. An easy drawstring closure finishes off the design making this bag perfect for everyday wear.

Inside, the bag is lined in microfiber with a suede like finish, and there is one slit pocket on the back exterior of the bag. The shoulder strap has an adjustable buckle and the overall dimensions are 8.7″ W x 9.8″H x 4.7″D.

The bag is not incredibly large, but it’s still a great size for everyday, and the slightly open drawstring tops allows for some additional carries such as a magazine or a newspaper. Your smartphone, sunglasses, and wallet will all fit inside too. The all black version is just my style, though the bag also comes in contrasting leather options.
